Almost There

I can see light at the end of the tunnel my friends, and it is a beautiful sight. Months and months of waiting have dwindled the days down to the double-digits (24 days left to be precise) and everything is falling in to place nicely. All of the necessary paperwork has been wrapped up, and Jesse and I are now tying up loose ends with packing and working everyday to have money for our year abroad. I don't mind all of the work and stress right now knowing that all of my efforts will pay off immensely in the end.

This Friday is one that I am looking forward to very much. Several of the Japan-bound students are meeting for an evening of dinner and conversation about all of our future plans for our time spent abroad in Japan. I know it will be a lot of fun. Three of the students attending; Tyler, Blaine, and Megan, will be attending Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata, Japan, for the Spring 2010 semester, and I look forward to meeting with them. Tyler was kind enough to organize the event and offer his dorm as the meeting place for all attending. Representing Shinshu University in Matsumoto, Japan, will be Jesse and me. Who knows? Maybe we will all have a chance to visit one another in the spring.

The New Camera In Action

In order to capture my experiences abroad, I recently purchased a new camera (a Canon sx110is) to help document what I see and do on a daily basis in Japan. This camera is very user friendly, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in starting photography as a hobby.
